Brianna Caraballo

is a painter who lives and works in New York City. She paints in an abstract style using oils and acrylics and unconventional materials. Her subject matter choices stem from her past and link to her present. She recreates childhood traumatic events through the technique of staining raw canvas. The themes presented throughout her work are trauma and healing. Through her artistic process, she reunites and records fragments of feelings, thoughts and memory.

Denzyl Daniel

is a multidisciplinary Artist of Liberian descent, based in NYC. His work primarily involves the mediums of charcoal and soft pastel. He implements elements of frottage to his pieces to expose that of hidden emotion within the human body. He believes that a person's "true state" is only revealed when in the midst of a strong emotion, transforming their facial features into objects of abstraction, which divert from the fixed expressions we encounter in society. His first taste of art came through his exposure to that of Japanese manga, and the traditional textile arts of Liberia he witnessed within his Grandmother's traditional garb. Inspired by these visual practices that tell a story, he began to pursue his recent career.

Joseph Liss

grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn NY. As a child and teenager, he attended public school and charter schools in low-income areas of Brooklyn and New York City, spending days surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the inner city.

As an adult he was drawn to capture images of people, places and objects such as old, broken and abandoned things. His photographs contain images of subjects or people others discard or walk past without noticing. He photographs these subjects as a reminder; that these shadows of the past remain vibrant if only remembered in a photograph.

(b. China) is a photographer who lives and works in New York. He works in this medium because photography is the one and only medium that can truly freezes time. He is inspired by the visual artist Henri Cartier-Bresson because in his Decisive Moment, he was a craftsman that constructed every frame perfectly.

He is also inspired by Jamie Windsor because Jamie Windsor once said, "Photography is not reality, it's an interpretation of reality...". Photographers should make the picture in their mind and try to convey their idea through the images. Even though reality might not look the same.
